• Bar Louie

  Awarded "Concept of Tomorrow" by Restaurant Hospitality Magazine, this casually cool neighborhood restaurant & bar features warm, upbeat surroundings with contemporary photography, mosaic tiling, wood-paneled walls, modern lighting and plasma televisions, making it a favorite gathering place for family and friends. • House of Blues Crossroads Restaurant

  Enjoy a unique Chicago dining experience with a side of live music. The Crossroads Restaurant features American comfort food, eclectic cuisine like jambalaya, tacos, and lobster mac n' cheese as well as a selection of salads, sandwiches and pizzas, plus heartier pastas, steaks and 'cue.  Dinner is served until 11 pm Friday and Saturday nights, and until 10 pm during the week. The Crossroads offers live music most every night with an acoustic blues set during dinner and nightly headliners at 9 pm. Don't miss the Gospel Brunch — a Chicago favorite — with energetic gospel music and a delicious Southern-style buffet every Sunday.

  Smith & Wollensky is a traditional New York steakhouse, serving prime steaks and signature cocktails. You can expect impeccable service, of course, in an elegant atmosphere that is both traditional and casual, and offers views of the Chicago River and the loop. Start with the shrimp cocktail, then dive into a sublime filet mignon or porterhouse for two.

  This local hot spot has been named "Best Steakhouse in Chicago" by the Chicago Tribune, and that's a real tribute. It's an Italian steakhouse that serves the classics: the country's finest prime aged steaks, chops and Italian dishes, and athletes, celebrities and politicians are regulars. This high-energy Chicago restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy sumptuous steaks or watch the game in the plasma-packed bar. Think sporty elegance, with mahogany paneling, white tablecloths and a collection of baseball memorabilia.

• Dick's Last Resort

  Delicious cuisine goes with good times at this festive Chicago restaurant. Grab one of their massive burgers and wash it down with an ice-cold pint. Share the "sampla platters" with BBQ smothered ribs, potato skins, and chicken wings. Dig into of Dick's decadent chocolate desserts, and dance to a live cover band to work it all off. Eat in the dining room or chow at your lane. On the menu: thin-crust pizzas, salads and sandwiches. Crave something heartier? Try the southern fried chicken.
